String lights are the chameleons of lighting. They can be hung, strung, twirled or wrapped. Their versatility is the inspiration for thousands of creative DIY projects. This creative DIY Flameless Fire Pit with Christmas lights is perfect for a kids room since it is completely safe. This project was so easy, and the best part was you’ll only need sticks, stones, a strand of lights and hot glue.
To start, arrange your stones in a circle of whatever size you’d like your base to be. If for some reason, you feel like you’re going to want to move this display, or if you’re not building it exactly where you’re leaving it, I would suggest constructing it on a piece of plywood for easy handling.
Arrange your lights how you like them within the circle before adding the sticks, as it’s way too difficult to do it afterward.
Next, prop up your sticks in a “teepee” shape like you would a real fire pit. I chose to use a bit of hot glue at the top to secure them in this position so that they would be as stable as possible.
If you want the ambiance of a campfire indoors, try this Flameless Fire Pit with Christmas lights. We think it is one of the cutest things we’ve seen plus there is no danger of burning the house.
