CLIPA is an organization that offers training and resources to Christmas light installation professionals across the United States and Canada. CLIPA certified Christmas light installers must abide by certain guidelines and adhere to customer service policies.
As a customer, it is important that you don’t consider price as the sole factor when choosing a Christmas light Installation service. It is important that you choose a legitimate company that will not only install your Christmas lights and decorations but will also service them throughout the Season if there are any problems that arise.
Over the years we have had many calls from homeowners that need their lights removed due to the fact that the company they hired did not come back to remove the Christmas lights that they put up, even though they were contracted to do so. It is very common for 100% of the price to install and remove Christmas lights is paid up front so make sure that you are working with a legitimate company.
Whether you are planning to simply wrap a few lights on some trees in the front yard or seek a ostentatious, Griswoldian vision of hanging enough Christmas sparkle to keep your neighbors awake all night long, first be informed of what emergency room doctors know all too well: Christmas light installation can be harmful to your health.
It is such a wonderful and festive time of the year but then we always hear about a mix of various injuries related to this season. We hear about a lot of people falling off ladders. That can be particularly worrisome if fall victims are older since their injuries usually seem to be worse than individuals suffered by their younger counterparts. Nonetheless, folks of all ages, not exempting kids, are unprotected to the perils of getting ready for the Holiday season.
It has been documented that around 200 people per day suffer decorating-related wounds this time of year. This information is provided to the public by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a governmental agency that hopes to protect people from buyer-product related dangers. In the months of November and December of this past year, an estimated 13,000 individuals were treated in emergency rooms around the United States alone for injuries that are tied to Christmas Light Installations and other Holiday decorating mishaps.
It was determined that in some of the worst cases, falls while installing Christmas lights may be life-changing, leaving people with traumatic brain injuries and losing the ability to live independently. These falls can also be deadly at times. Another very common injury is electric shock which can be deadly or life altering as well.
Why risk the injuries that could happen to yourself or a family member? Request your free estimate and leave the hard work to us while you sit back and enjoy the beautiful environment that we create for you this holiday season.
When we are installing Christmas lights, we take every precaution to ensure that our crew members are not going to get injured. We train all of our Christmas light installation crews on the importance of safety as well as the techniques and procedures that will ensure this.
When installing Christmas lights it is important to have a 2nd person acting as a “spotter” when another crew member is on a ladder past a certain height. The spotter’s job is to hold the ladder securely in place while the other crew member is installing the lights on the roofline, tree, etc. It is also important that the spotter wears a hard hat just in case something falls from above.
All of our crew members have harnesses and safety lines available for their use in case they are working on steep rooflines or peaks, high up in trees or in some type of aerial equipment.
We always have external GFCI adapters that we plug into while we are doing any Christmas light installation. These GFCI adapters are used to greatly reduce the possibility of any type of electrical shock.
Our crew members are taught that they are never to get complacent when on the job. They are to always be aware of their surroundings and are taught to look for dangers such as power lines, faulty outlets, etc.
Don’t risk getting hurt during the Holidays. Hire our Christmas light installation pros and enjoy this festive time of the year!
There are several factors that we consider when giving a potential client the cost of their Commercial or Residential Christmas light installation. Every job is different and difficulty of one job vs. another can vary greatly.
The price of your decorating project always includes installation, removal and (if needed) servicing burnt out bulbs. One factor in the cost of your Christmas light installation will be the type of lights that you choose. Another element when determining the bid will be if there is a need for aerial equipment such as scissor lifts or bucket lifts. If you are looking to have garland installed we offer many different types of greenery that vary in prices. This would also apply to installation of wreaths, bows, yard art, etc.
We can do anything that you would like and are more than happy to help you come up with a design that will make your holiday decorating dreams a reality. Remember, design and estimate consultations are always FREE.
We start doing estimates for in September and start installations during that month as well. Our busiest times are from Nov. 1st to Dec. 15th so it is always a good idea to get your Christmas light installation scheduled as soon as possible to ensure that you get the lights and Christmas decorations up by your ideal date. Some of our Christmas light installers offer special “early bird” discounts. You always have the option of having the lights installed early and plugging them in yourself on the desired date. We can even come back at a later date to install any greenery and yard art that you have ordered.
We offer many different types of lights and decorations.
The most popular lights for roofline installations are C-9 lights followed by icicle lights. C-9 lights are the larger more traditional (or classic) looking Christmas lights while icicle lights are a cluster of mini lights that hang down. It is very common to see C-9 lights on residential and commercial rooflines as well as in large evergreen trees. When doing Christmas light installations that call for C-9’s the most popular color is Warm White followed by Multi, Red, Blue and Green. We also offer RGB controlled lights that can change into any color that you would like and can change color to music or sound. With the use of RGB lights we could actually have 100 C-9 bulbs and each of them could be programmed to a slightly different color variation. RGB technology is relatively new and gets even better every year!
The smaller C-7 has the same shape but is about 2/3rds of the size of the C-9. C-7 lights are also available in RGB controlled variations. The most popular lights for trees and shrubs are wide angled 5mm mini lights as they give off a brilliant, radiant light. They are smaller than the traditional candle tip lights but actually give off substantially more light.
We offer thousands of products and color choices but believe it or not, 95% of our installs are used with only a dozen different lights and colors. Laser Christmas lights have also become a choice these days but we have found that they just don’t give us the same look as traditional Christmas lights. While easy to install the laser lights have a tendency to get washed out if there is any other lighting around such as a porch or street light.
LED lights are a must when it comes to saving energy and having a hassle free Christmas light installation. In the last few years we have shifted to using almost all LED lights. The energy costs of LED vs. incandescent lights is enormous. When using LED lights you will see a very substantial savings on your electric bill. LED lights are also MUCH MORE reliable than incandescent lights. In addition to be easier to install, they rarely require servicing and can be handled rougher during takedown. We only use commercial grade lights and they are almost impossible to break.
Whether you are getting ready for that festive Christmas party or are looking to put a HUGE smile on your kids face, we are ready and eager to help. Our company has been in business for 20 years and we pride ourselves on quality, innovative designs and customer satisfaction.
