With summer around the corner and hopefully some fun summer parties, many people are looking for low cost alternatives to party decorations. Nothing says party like fun lighting and nothing could be more true of these fun DIY summer party lights. They are perfect for outdoor summer fiestas, but also look great indoors all year round. These globe lights lend themselves particularly well to being strung outside since they have a green cord and are fairly bright. These adorable DIY summer party lights will add a little something special to any party or get-together.
Set the mood for a sizzling summer party with these DIY summer party lights with ribbon:
Materials:
– globe Christmas lights
– ribbon
– scissors
– hot glue gun
– some party music to get you in the mood 🙂
Directions:
Start by cutting your ribbon into 6 inch strips. Apply hot glue to the base of each globe, then press on a row of ribbons. Apply glue on top of those, then press on another row of ribbons. Repeat until you’re happy with the size of your tassel. Finish the look by gluing a ribbon around the top of each tassel to cover all the messy ends. String the summer party lights on a patio or trees. Just make sure they are where all can see.
Planning an evening get-together or party some time this spring or summer? There’s nothing quite like hosting a fabulous outdoor summer party. Between the warm breeze, cold drinks and great music, it’s all so… summery. But once the sun goes away, the party doesn’t have to stop — so long as you have a little radiance to guide everyone to more fun.
